This painting by Bruegel is called “Hunters In The Snow” painted in 1565. For those of you that know  Bruegel’s work you understand how wonderfully he captures the daily lives of people who lived 460 years ago. Bruegel, for me, creates  an atmosphere reflecting the life lived those many years ago. A photograph of the distant past.

I love the stars, planets and the wonderment of it all. I want to share with you my construction of this image. I think you will find it interesting. This is how the artistic mind works…..The large planet is created from the bottom of a copper pan….the small planet in the foreground is created from a ball and the star background was created by hand. Shaping, coloring, positioning, are but a few of the artistic decisions  made in order for me to create something from my mind and of course emotional feelings. Have a sweet day!…”Universe” Series
