What are the 3 main characteristics of the Renaissance? --
Renewed interest in classical antiquity; a rise in humanist philosophy (a belief in self, human worth, and individual dignity); and radical changes in ideas about religion, politics, and science.

The Renaissance was in full force mainly in the 16th century and the driving force for the many characteristics mentioned by you. We would not have many of the positives in our human condition without the influences of the Renaissance. Today I see the Renaissance person as one who strives to better themselves, understand the world around them and share their experiences, especially if they are adept in the sciences, music (art in general) and self realization.
